Introducing the Mobile Data Association’s CharityText website.

This website sets out the terms of the UK Framework Agreement for charity donations by SMS (text messaging) and where to find information to enable qualifying organisations to make use of this easy way to donate.

There are many other websites devoted to charitable giving and it is not our purpose to provide detailed examples of what you can and cannot do or details of the VAT rules but to provide an overview and where to go next for the details.

Charity Text Training Days

Next workshop Thursday 22nd March - booking now open

In 2011 the Mobile Data Association launched a series of Text Donation Training Days for Charitable organisations. The next workshop will take place on March on Thursday 22nd March at the offices of PhonepayPlus in London.

These workshops are aimed at showing how text-donation is an invaluable part of the fund-raising mix and how simple it can be to implement.
Using the special 70xxx series of Charity Text Donation codes, eligible organisations can obtain VAT-exempt donations from a simple text message, harnessing the simplicity and immediacy of text messaging and maximising the income potential from small donations.
